Motorola Teams Up With Mobile-XL? To Launch XLBrowserTM
Motorola and Mobile-XL take an enormous step in Bridging the Digital DivideTM by providing access to important information using any wireless phone from anywhere!
 

LOS ANGELES - OCTOBER, 2006 - At this year's 3G GSM Conference on 19&20 October 2006 in Cape Town, South Africa, Motorola will be launching handsets equipped with Mobile-XL's newly released XLBrowserTM. The XLBrowserTM is an application that utilizes SMS to give mobile phone users instant access to information like the news, weather, sport scores and travel information, thus filling an important need in areas with limited internet access. The XLBrowserTM tackles the potentially low penetration of WAP by making access to information available to the masses.

"Using any mobile phone, the XLBrowserTM is downloaded, a command is translated into an SMS message and sent to the Mobile-XL search engine, where a reply is instantly generated, sent back to the phone and displayed as text or image.
